{"id":2980,"date":"2012-10-02T15:40:06","date_gmt":"2012-10-02T15:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.organicmamacafe.com\/?p=2980"},"modified":"2012-10-02T15:40:06","modified_gmt":"2012-10-02T15:40:06","slug":"om-cafe-connects-a-sisters-point-of-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.organicmamacafe.com\/home\/2012\/10\/om-cafe-connects-a-sisters-point-of-view\/","title":{"rendered":"OM Cafe Connects: A Sister&#8217;s Point of View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A friend of mine wrote this in honor of her sister, a survivor.<strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was young love and they totally \u2018got\u2019 each other<br \/>\nThey both had so much promise<br \/>\nthey both had so much talent<\/p>\n<p>Passionate, funny and they just worked<br \/>\nThey married and started their family<\/p>\n<p><em>They were living the dream, but living well isn\u2019t always easy<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Money was a struggle, jobs sometimes were scarce<br \/>\nA couple of mouths to feed<br \/>\nDreams to keep chasing<br \/>\nThe tension sometimes mounted<\/p>\n<p><em>Life was good and hard and intense\u2026and then one strayed<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When he failed he wounded her heart<br \/>\nit burned deep and dark<br \/>\nand things got rough<\/p>\n<p>She was angry<br \/>\nHe was angry<br \/>\nThat canyon between them kept getting deeper, wider<br \/>\nTheir communication grew more twisted and wounding<\/p>\n<p>She wanted her family<br \/>\nhe wanted his family<br \/>\nbut things were all shattered now<br \/>\nHe wanted his dreams back<br \/>\nbut she was far from him<br \/>\nand he couldn\u2019t control that<\/p>\n<p>Angry bursts<br \/>\nCrippling words<br \/>\nRuined furniture<br \/>\nBullied Mommy<br \/>\nTerrified children<\/p>\n<p>Before long she was fleeing and hiding<br \/>\nThe little ones never wanted to see Daddy again because they saw what Daddy did to Mommy<br \/>\nThey remember what Daddy did to them<\/p>\n<p>Little children in shelters<br \/>\nMommy scared to be found<br \/>\nscared that given the opportunity<br \/>\nthe desperate threats<br \/>\nwould become devastating reality<\/p>\n<p>Running\u2026. for a long time<br \/>\nShamed and devastated for much longer<\/p>\n<p>Wishing only scars remained to tell the story<\/p>\n<p>But these have wounds never found the way to heal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A friend of mine wrote this in honor of her sister, a survivor.
